We are family-oriented and very involved in our community. We love working and supporting small business owners. You can find us around this area spending time in local restaurants, breweries, and trails. At our firm, we understand you can be professional while remaining friendly and personable.

Tamra Johnson, CPA
Tamra has over 30 years of experience working in public accounting and has spent some of this time working in the industry. She graduated from the University of North Carolina in Asheville with a bachelor’s in accounting.
She is very knowledgeable in a wide variety of areas, this has been very valuable to our firm. Her expertise has helped us successfully serve many clients from different industries.
Tamra is a rock and roll aficionado, and she will admit being a groupie at heart. She enjoys spending time with husband and sons (including Caleb Johnson, American Idol winner!).

Heather Gates Cohan, CPA / CGMA
Heather moved to Asheville from Dallas, TX in 2016. Since then, she met and married her husband Justin, and they have two children, Mackenzie and Rylan. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a bachelor’s in accounting and received an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
She enjoys traveling, hiking and exploring waterfalls. Her current adventure is seeing all the waterfalls in WNC.

Mark Martines, CPA
Mark is originally from England, he lived there until he was 10 years old. Mark graduated from Appalachian State University and is a licensed CPA. Mark has been with the firm since 2013.
He enjoys hiking, rock climbing and spending time outdoors. His favorite hangout spot is anywhere off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Tera Buchanan
Tera is originally from Mississippi, she moved to Asheville, North Carolina 20 years ago and began working with us.
Tera enjoys spending her time in the sun at the beach. Her favorite hobby is working in her yard or helping her neighbors with their yards; she feels doing this activity is very therapeutic.
Jaise Allen
Jaise was born and raised in central Illinois, and moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina in 2021 where he met and married his wife, Mallory. He is a graduate from Illinois State University. Jaise recently joined our team, and with his incredible aptitude for Financial Planning, we cannot wait to utilize his talents for our clients.
Jaise enjoys music, live theater, and spending time with the Lord. His new favorite hobbies are golfing, hiking and spending time working in his garden.
Rick Hageman
Rick joined our firm in December of 2010. He graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and additional areas of study in Accounting and Economics. While at ASU, Rick earned his membership with Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honor Society).
Rick enjoys hiking, backpacking and attending the Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain.
Robin Risk
Robin is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. She is a Marine Corps spouse that has traveled and lived all over the world, including Japan and Italy. She is a mom to four boys! With her business knowledge and organization skills, we are very grateful to have her on our team.
Robin enjoys going to the beach, cruising the world and watching her sons play sports.
